In April of 2008, we re-opened our doors to the public after relocating from our old location on Virginia Avenue near EMU. The new building is a beautifully restored, historically preserved landmark for downtown Harrisonburg, just two blocks North of Court Square. In the construction of the new restaurant, we uncovered original limestone walls and wallpaper from the building's past, which were sealed and preserved. Another bonus was the previously unused basement level, which has been rescued from the Earth and put to use as our bar and venue!
Blue Nile is family owned and operated. If you have ever been here to eat or drink, you have surely experienced the work of one of the Arefaines. Many members of the staff have been a part of the restaurant from it's beginnings at the old location and many more were there to lend a hand when construction began on the new building. We love The Nile and hope you will too!
